The one that got away

Unfortunately this is the real world, and this is the only life I’m ever going to live. There are no second chances when it comes to this. I’m no one’s option. I’m not second best. I am the whole package with a whole lot of love to give. Someday someone will recognize my self worth, will respect me, will love me whole heartedly, and will never let me go. We don’t live this life for others, we live to accomplish our own pursuit of happiness. Those who enter our lives are there to help us enjoy life’s journey and to share its blissful and joyful moments. I love myself way more than I will love you or any other person, and quite frankly that’s the way it should be. My happiness comes first ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ And at the end of the day, I’m the one that got away.
